Calgary Herald, Sept 22, 2011: Re: “A new crop of simple tests can screen fetuses for genetic disorders, raising the possibility that Down syndrome could be eliminated,” Sept. 18.
Instead of cherishing and loving all people simply because of their humanity, society continues down the slippery slope of playing God. We are already aborting the unborn because we don’t like their sex, because we want to “reduce” twins to a single child, and now because the child may be a Down syndrome child.
Where does it all end? Mother Teresa said it best when she said: “Any country that accepts abortion is not teaching its people to love, but to use violence to get what it wants.”
