People need to get out of their comfort zone

Lethbridge Herald, Aug 24 2011: I agree with Kaitlin Fisher that the “obscene” abortion victims’ images are “uncomfortable.” (“Abortion protest draws criticism,” Aug. 18 Herald). In fact, these pictures are downright horrifying. But what is truly disturbing is that these are not just computer-generated images, but actual photos of babies who have been ripped from the womb.

Ignorance is not bliss; knowledge of the truth could potentially move people out of their “comfort zone” and into action against the sickening murder of over 100,000 helpless infants in Canada each year. People’s selfish concern with their own enjoyment of a pleasant afternoon should be of low priority to our society in contrast to this tragedy.
