Honour for abortion doc upsets PM

OTTAWA – Prime Minister Stephen Harper thinks controversial abortion doctor Henry Morgentaler was a bad choice for the Order of Canada. “It’s not a decision of the Government of Canada. These decisions are made independently of government,” he said last night after meeting with French Prime Minister Francois Fillon. “That said, I guess my preference, to be frank, would be to see the Order of Canada be something that really unifies – that brings Canadians together.” Read the rest of the article here.
