By ARPA Canada (April 17, 2009): In light of the economic down turn, the Alberta government has recently announced that it is reviewing which medical services will be receiving funding. It's decision to cut funding for sex-change operations drew quick and fierce opposition and caused them to backtrack by holding off on this for a year. Now is the time for residents of Alberta to urge the government to cut funding for abortion - a service that ends life rather than preserving or protecting it.

Kudo's to Southern Alberta ARPA for showing this innitiative. Your immediate attention is needed for the following issue!: The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA)is preparing to move from the Medical Profession Act to the Health Professions Act (HPA), and as such has prepared draft Standards of Practice for Alberta’s medical profession. Standards of Practice represent the minimum standard of professional behaviour and good practice Alberta physicians are expected to meet, and they will be used to arbitrate disciplinary cases. The Standards are essentially the rules physicians must follow and they will replace the majority of existing College policies and guidelines.

GAP is a peaceful, educational display which utilizes 4x8-foot signs to show the reality of abortion to the public, drawing comparisons between it and other genocides.

12 Feb 2009 Calgary Pro-Life Club Stripped of Club Status after Pro-Life Students Charged with “Trespassing”

The hearing followed the refusal of the pro-life group to hide a Genocide Awareness Project (GAP) pro-life display on the campus in November, when ordered to do so by the University's administration.  The club has erected the display, which shows images of abortion victims alongside other genocide victims, without incident several times in the past.
